Spring is upon us and with that comes a lot of activity. Our hardworking Board is in the midst of planning an Ethics Seminar for May 9, 2008. This is certain to be an event you won’t want to miss!

Another activity underway is the nomination process for the next Board of Directors. Nominations are open to any VSCSW member who has been a member in good standing for at least one year and desires a leadership position. For more information and explanation about the positions on the Board, please visit our website. Nominations can be sent by calling (757) 868-0072. Elections will take place at the meeting in May.

I also want to take a moment to thank our program planning committee. On April 1, 2008 there was a “Practice-Building Seminar” touching on creating a business plan, building a business will, and exploring the issue of retirement for private practitioners. They did a fantastic job! There is a wealth of opportunity and so many resources within VSCSW. I encourage each of you to seek out an opportunity.
