Peggy Holland, LCSW, graduated from Hollins College and received her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was certified as a substance abuse counselor in Virginia at the same time she was doing her graduate work, and is currently in the process of becoming a certified sex therapist.

She moved to Roanoke 34 years ago from Baltimore. She has been in private practice for 10 years and, before that, worked at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare as both a substance abuse counselor and mental health therapist. She has also worked with Vietnam veterans, trauma victims, couples with marital and sexual difficulties, and women in transition.

Peggy joined VSCSW as a student and has served on the Roanoke Chapter Board as Treasurer, Vice-Chair, and is currently serving her second term as Chair. She also serves on the State Board at this time in the role of Secretary.
